What better way to celebrate a holiday honoring the achievements of American workers than by relaxing? With Labor Day weekend marking the unofficial end of summer, it’s time for one last hurrah before falling back into hectic fall schedules.

69th Shinnecock Annual Powwow
Southampton. 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept 4-7.
The largest event of its kind on the East Coast, celebrate the end of summer with dance, native food, music and fun at the 69th annual Shinnecock Powwow.

Westhampton Beach 7th Annual Festival of the Arts
Westhampton Beach. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept 5-6.
The 7th Annual Westhampton Festival of the Arts has emerged as one of America’s Top 50 fine art events. Come explore the world of art in the breathtaking creations of painters, jewelers, sculptors, photographers, mixed-media and fiber artists, also creations of glass, ceramic, metal and wood.

Huntington Lighthouse Music Festival
Huntington. 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sept 5.
Now in its 9th year, check out the ONLY music festival in the world held on top of a working lighthouse in the middle of the water! Grab your boat, kayak, canoe, inner-tub, or whatever other mode of water transportation and make your way to the lighthouse!

Bethpage Polo at the Park
Bethpage. 3pm. Sept 6.
Kid’s Day is this Sunday! Get up close and personal with the Polo players and ponies and watch an exciting match with friends and family. Plus - there will be activities, contests, and more for all ages!
