Celebrity Chefs on Long Island

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service
P: (631) 587-8500

Whether there’s an anniversary on the horizon or you’re looking for a new dinner spot to try out - the menu of celebrity chefs running restaurants right here on LI has grown as lengthy as the North Fork wine list.

Plan your next night out with your favorite foodie at one of these below restaurants and reserve your ride with Dynasty Limousine!

Chef Tom Schaudel - Jewel
Melville
Featured on several networks such as the Food Network, Metro Channel, and local LI channels, Tom has been commanding attention and taste buds for years. Growing up on Long Island and living on the East End has seriously influenced Tom's culinary sensibilities. Jewel, located in the  Rubie Corporate Plaza in Melville, is a 10,000 square ft. space for those seeking an upscale dining experience, chic bar and lounge, and unique catering menu.

Chef Michael Maroni - Maroni Cuisine
Northport
Chef Michael Maroni is well known for his gourmet meatballs - so famous that Bobby Flay challenged him to a Meatball Throwdown, in which Maroni took the victory. If you head to Maroni Cuisine in Northport for a sit down dinner, you can expect not for a set menu but rather a selection of 25 small plates brought to your table (in accordance with your allergies and preferences). Costs vary depending on the day of the week and include unlimited beer and wine with your meal.

Chef Todd Jacobs - Fresh Hamptons
Sag Harbor
After graduating from the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, and spending several years running and working at different restuarants, Fresh Hamptons came to be. Fresh Hamptons, prides itself on locally grown ingredients and gluten-free, vegan and raw options. Jacobs’ dedication to local and wholesome food has earned him appearances on “Martha Stewart Living” on Sirius Radio and WE TV’s Taste This.

Chef Marc Bynum - Hush Bistro
Farmingdale
A true Cinderella story, Marc Bynum’s only culinary training came from vocational school while he was still a high-school student. His resume includes working at Venue 56 and Prime, but what really launched him into the spotlight was when he appeared on Food Network’s “Chopped” - winning two episodes and appearing on the season finale “Chopped Champions.” He opened his Modern American restaurant, HUSH Bistro, in downtown Farmingdale emphasizing local and organic flavors enhanced by traditional and new cooking techniques.

New Year’s Travel Resolutions

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service
P: (631) 587-8500

Airport Car Service
Imagine, having enough time - and money - to travel anywhere our heart desires? For many of us, resolving to travel more can be easier said than done. To help you actually stick to this year’s travel minded resolutions, we have some suggestions sure to please your wanderlust hearts:

Travel outside of your comfort zone - Oh sure, who doesn’t love the annual trip to Disney? Perhaps now it’s time for some new experiences. Try heading out to a new city, a new country even - anything to broaden your horizons.

Use all of your vacation days - A study commissioned by the US Travel Association earlier this year found that US workers only use 77% of their paid time off - meaning Americans are essentially working for free almost one week per year. Take your days! Set quarterly reminders on your calendar to review how many days you have left to take. If you can’t plan a grand venture, enjoy a simple staycation.

Vow to learn a little - By now, you’ll find English speakers in many countries - but this doesn’t mean it’s their native tongue. If you’re planning a trip outside of the states, try learning a new language. Plan to have a conversation with a local to learn more about where you are visiting. Go to a local museum. Anything to xx

Don’t obsess over the “best” places - Sure, Yelp is telling you this restaurant is the best of the best by tourist standards - but maybe that mom and pop restaurant around the corner is the true hidden gem. As far as your safety is concerned, reading reviews is great to ensure you’ve chosen the best place to stay - but branch out from the typical chain restaurants and stores you may be used to.

No matter where your 2015 travel plans take you, Dynasty Limousine will be there to handle your transportation needs. We are available for pickups and drop offs at all of the major New York Airports including, JFK, La Guardia, Mac Arthur Airport and for most private airports including Farmingdale Executive Airport. Dynasty Limousines has competitive rates for Airport and Ground Transportation in the New York area. Call and request a quote today (631) 587-8500!

Travel Trends for 2015

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service

P: (631) 587-8500
Gone are the days of physically going to an airport check-in counter to get a boarding pass, racking up fees phoning home from abroad, and lugging around heavy wallets stuffed with cards. Now, our smart phones double as our wallets and there’s an app for pretty much everything.

Each year the travel industry takes a step forward - so let’s see what’s in store for 2015:

The new wallet - If it hasn’t already, your cellphone will become your wallet. You can sync your credit and debit cards with Google Wallet (for Android) or Apple’s Passbook (iOS) and buy things simply by placing your phone in front of a sensor at checkout.

Take networking to new heights - Delta’s innovation class features a mentoring program - at 35,000 feet. Applicants can apply through LinkedIn to earn a seat beside business, art, and technology leaders like music producer Ryan Lewis, cofounder of Gilt, Alexandra Wilson, creator of Pebble Smartwatch, Eric Migicovsky and more. Additionally, utilize social media for KLM’s Meet & Seat program or Virgin Airlines’ in flight social network.

Easier boarding - Boeing is introducing its new overhead Space Bins for 737s which will appear on Alaska Airlines flights later this year. The bins will hold up to 174 carry ons, a 49% increase from their current capacity, and hang two inches lower as to not have to lift bags as high.

Making dinner reservations -Apps like Killer Rezzy, Resy, and I Know the Chef already exist in NYC, but more apps are helping to open doors at the busiest hot spots - even at the last minute. All the apps basically work the same way, they charge a fee for same-day seats (typically less than $25) and all have big plans for expansion.

No matter where your 2015 travel plans take you and what new technology can make it easier, Dynasty Limousine will be there to handle your transportation needs. We are available for pickups and drop offs at all of the major New York Airports including, JFK, La Guardia, Mac Arthur Airport and for most private airports including Farmingdale Executive Airport. #TuesdayTips for Celebrating the Holidays at Walt Disney World

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service

P: (631) 587-8500

8.5 million lights, 15 miles of garlands, 1,300 individually decorated Christmas trees - the holidays aren’t just a celebration at Walt Disney World, they’re an epic production. If you’re heading down south for a little bit of Disney Christmas magic this season, we wanted to provide some tips from Travel + Leisure to help you strategize your venture in advance:

Arrive Early - The week between Christmas and New Years is prime time for tourist travel, not surprising since the kids are out of school and you have vacation days to use up. During this peak time, it’s not uncommon for Disney’s Magic Kingdom to reach capacity by late morning. Last year, management closed the entry gates on December 31st until hordes started to disperse in the late afternoon.  So if you have your heart set on a park, be sure to get there at least an hour before it opens!

Book Meal Reservations Ahead of Time - While this isn’t new, booking advance dining reservations is crucial. Plus as a bonus, if you have a reservation in a theme park that’s nearing capacity and guests are being refused entry - you’ll be more likely to get inside. Head to the Biergarten in Epcot’s Germany pavilion for a festive meal with a special holiday buffet and Christmas market.

Focus on Epcot and Animal Kingdom - Magic Kingdom is Disney’s most popular park attracting an estimated 18.5 million visits last year alone. With the crowds that flock there, it could take you an hour to simply get from one end of the park to the other. No amounts of holiday cheer can withstand those circumstances. This time, try your hand visiting Epcot and/or Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Both are more spacious, so you will feel less crammed in there!

Plan Ahead - BYO-Stroller. Disney of course provides these for rentals, they do sell out quickly. Plan ahead and bring anything you can as to opt out of anything that requires you to stand in line for the service (stroller rentals, Fastpass rescheduling, etc).

It’s also important to adjust your expectations, with gridlock this thick you likely won’t get to do everything you had wanted but that shouldn’t hinder your celebration! For additional Disney travel tips, click here »

Start your vacation off truly stress free, let Dynasty Limousine take care of your airport transportation. We handle pick ups and drop offs at all major New York Airports including La Guardia, JFK, Mac Arthur as well as most private airports like Farmingdale Executive Airport.
