5 Ways Celebrate Mom this Mother's Day

Mother and Daughter Hugging | Mother's Day | Dynasty Limousine
It’s finally spring, and you know what that means —  Mother’s Day is right around the corner! Celebrate mom with flare this year. With the big day just about two weeks away, we thought we’d share some of our favorite ways to bond with mom.

  1. Spa Day: Moms deserve a day of rest and relaxation every now and then. What better day to pamper her than Mother’s Day? With special Mother’s Day rates available, treat mom to a spa package at East Wind Long Island this year.
  2. Vineyard Trip: For the mom who loves delicious wine, beautiful scenery, and good company, indulge her with a day at the vineyards. Lenz is one of our favorites! Just pack a picnic basket and enjoy. (Pro Tip: Make a pit stop at Love Lane in Mattituck to do some shopping and visit The Village Cheese Shop to pick up some artisanal cheeses for wine pairings.)
  3. Dinner & a Show: Does mom love a big production? Surprise her with dinner in the city and tickets to a good old-fashioned Broadway musical! Many restaurants offer special price-fixed theater menus, so you can show mom how much you care without breaking the bank.
  4. Brunch: Who doesn’t enjoy a good brunch? Plan a delicious Mother’s Day Brunch in NYC with the family. Give mom the day off from hosting. Trust us! She’ll thank you.
  5. Paint Night: Does mom have an artistic side? Plan a paint night! With different image choices, PaintNite.com gives you access to events all over Long Island and New York City, so mom can paint what she wants.

Want to take Mother’s Day to the next level? Let the experienced drivers of Dynasty Limousine treat mom like the queen she truly is. From Town Cars to stretch Cadillac Escalades, we have a transportation solution that can get mom to and from her destination safely and in style. US Travel Spotlight | New Smyrna Beach, Florida

When you think of Florida, inevitably you immediately think of busy tourist destinations like Key West, Miami, and Orlando. But what if we told you there's a quaint beach town along the peninsula’s eastern coast just waiting to be explored? — New Smyrna Beach, Florida (NSB).

One of Florida’s best-kept secrets, NSB isn’t overrun by tourists. There are countless reasons to plan your next vacation here! See our top 4 below:

1. The Beaches: In addition to the beautiful views, NSB beaches aren’t over-crowded (unlike the Long Island beaches we all know and love). On any given day, you’ll find beach goers jogging, riding bikes, and even fishing in the mornings during low tide. Many of the beaches are SUV- and pet-friendly, making them the perfect place to picnic.

2. The Watersports: NSB offers an array of watersports, from surfing to jet skiing to stand up paddleboarding. One of our favorite shops is Paddleboard New Smyrna, where you can rent stand up paddle boards, hang out on a sandbar, and watch dolphins with the friendliest instructors around!

3. Shopping and Dining: Enjoy the old Florida ambiance on NSB’s charming and historic streets. Home to unique galleries, boutiques, and restaurants, Flagler Avenue and Canal Street provide all the necessities and tons of FUN. Enjoy once in a lifetime sunsets, shopping, cocktails, and cuisine.

5 Quick Tips for Planning a Stress-Free Wedding

Stress-Free Wedding - Dynasty Limousine
You said YES! Now what?!

Sometimes that never ending wedding checklist can be so overwhelming, you’ll be ready to escape it all and elope. To help keep you sane, here are some quick and dirty tips for stress-free wedding planning.
  1. Just breathe: When your in-laws insist you invite that distant relative you’ve never met or your fiancé is set on having a Star Wars themed reception, just take a deep breath and regroup. Removing yourself from the situation and coming back to it once you’ve had time to cool off will help you see clearly and alleviate any unnecessary stress.
  2. Compromise: When it comes to negotiations, whether with your mother, fiancé, or bridesmaids, always ask yourself this question: “Who wants it more?” Compromise is the foundation of a healthy marriage. If sweet treats aren’t your favorite, concede to your fiancé on the cake flavor.
  3. Take a break: It’s easy to get carried away with your wedding plans. Be sure to take a break every once and awhile. Designate certain periods of time during the week or on weekends for non-wedding related things — like simply enjoying being engaged!
  4. Delegate: You don’t have to do it all by yourself, but know the difference between what you CAN and CAN’T delegate. By all means, let your bridesmaids stuff invitations and wrap favors, but don’t trust your cousin to pick your wedding band just because he plays the guitar.
  5. Trust your vendors: Hire seasoned vendors to take care of you when it comes time to say “I do.” The best way to ensure you’re in capable hands is to read as many reviews as possible. Once you’ve chosen a vendor, trust them to get the job done! After all, this is their area of expertise.

Trust Dynasty Limousine to get you to the altar with ease! Our stylish, modern fleet of vehicles is trumped only by our exceptional customer service. Contact one of our transportation specialists for more information and to view our availability: 631-587-8500!

Prom Is Coming — Be Prepared!

Happy prom season high-schoolers! We know you're busy planning your prom-posals, but in the midst of coordinating an acapela group to sing your invitation to your crush, don’t forget everything else that goes into making prom memorable! Here are a few important items to check off your prom planning list pronto.

What Are You Going to Wear?

If you haven't started shopping yet, what are you waiting for! Don't wait until it's absolute crunch time to get your dress or tuxedo for prom. Guys can rent their tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse or another formal wear store. Ladies’ attire however, can be more difficult to decide on and usually comes at a steeper price. If you’re looking for beauty on a budget, save yourself some dough and try out Rent the Runway. (Then, you can use that extra money for some stylish shoes to match!)

Where is Everyone Meeting?
Do you and your friends want to take pre-prom photos that put red carpet shots to shame? Coordinate where everyone is going to meet and what time they should arrive, early on. You wouldn't want anyone to be late for photos and miss out on all the fun with your friends, would you? Make sure to have a raincheck spot, too! While you can keep your fingers crossed that there’s clear and sunny skies on prom day, it's important to be able to head inside for photos to keep those glamorous looks alive.

How Will You Get There?
This is one of the most important things to remember — after all, you can't walk to prom! Since everyone is going to want to travel together, have them all chip in for a limo or party bus. That way, you can all travel in tandem and arrive in style! There's a perfect sized vehicle for every group, and you'll even give your parents peace of mind knowing you're safely being taken to and from prom by a professional car service.

With so many Long Island proms falling on the same weekends, you’ll want to book your transportation now before other prom-goers get to your dream ride first. Dynasty Limousine has a wide variety of vehicles to choose from that are sure to make your night one to remember! All you should worry about on prom is how you're going to make memories — leave the driving to us. To find the best transportation solution for your group, give us a call at (631) 587-8500.

National Beer Day: Long Island Breweries

Happy National Beer Day! Join us in raising a pint to these local Long Island breweries.

Lithology Brewing Co. — 211A Main St, Farmingdale
Much like New York water directly affects the taste of our pizza and bagels, it also is a key ingredient in our beer. And since rocks and sediment are what filter New York’s distinctive water, what better than to name a brewery after the study of rocks and sediment — lithology. So there you have it, a nano brewery that is inspired by the terroir and people of Long Island. Be sure to try their Brown Ale (4.9% ABV), a silver medal winner of the 2016 New York International Craft Beer Competition.

Barrier Brewing Co. — 3001 New Street, Unit A2, Oceanside

These guys put the micro in microbrewery — specializing in small batches. In fact their first batches were brewed on a 1bbl system (2 kegs at a time)! After Superstorm Sandy took out their operation, they rebuilt and reopened in late February 2013 and now pour 50 different beers annually. Their tap room is open to the public Wednesday - Sunday.

Destination Unknown Beer Co. — 1 South Chicago Ave, Bay Shore

Only in its second year of operation, DubCo began as a small 1bbl brewery on the border of Bay Shore and Islip. Since then, it has grown to produce 12bbls a month in addition to a 600 square foot tasting room and 10 taps! Don’t miss out on their food truck Fridays. Oh, and it’s dog friendly!

Montauk Brewing Company — 62 S Erie Ave, Montauk

What started as a basement brewing operation between three friends, is now one of the most scenic craft breweries on LI — with outdoor seating, located just steps from the surf. So “come as you are,” and celebrate the no-frills good life at New York’s easternmost brewery!

Long Ireland Beer Co. — 817 Pulaski St, Riverhead

From their early days of learning how to home-brew to their apprenticeship with the New England Brewing Company — the brewers behind this Long Island brewery really turner their hobby and passion into a lifestyle. Their mission is simple: Make beer, share beer, drink beer.

Looking for more local breweries? Check out our blog here

And remember, enjoy responsibly. If you decide to plan a day with friends at various breweries on Long Island, allow us to get you to and from safely. Whether you are looking to bring 5 friends or 25, Dynasty Limousine has a wide variety of vehicles to suit your needs. Contact us today for more information and to view our availability: (631) 587-8500.
