What to Pack in your Carry-On Bag

Taking a vacation soon or within the next few months? If that’s the case, then it’s time to start planning your packing situation! Sure, depending on the estimated duration of your trip, you’ll want to pack accordingly — especially items that you’ll need to have a comfortable vacation! Not sure what that entails? Here are some carry-on essentials you’ll need:

Cell Phone Charger

One of the most essential items to bring with you is your cell phone charger. Of course, you could always purchase one in the hotel lobby — and if you’re lucky, your room will have one — but sometimes that’s not always the case.

When doing this, it’s important to bring two chargers, if you can. Indeed, one will do — but if you happen to lose it (or leave it behind), then you’ll always have another charger for backup. If you’re not looking to break the bank, then you can purchase phone chargers at your local dollar store for a reasonable price!

Medication Essentials

Another big item that most travelers forget to bring are medications. From a headache-relieving medication to indigestion pills, you should bring what you need for those “just in case” moments. Indeed, you don’t want to bring the entire bottle with you — so it would be best to either purchase some travel-sized versions or make your own travel case.

To create a travel case for your medication, you’ll want to get a waterproof container, preferably something with a lid. This will not only be the best way to keep your pills safe, but it will keep them all in one place — instead of rolling around in your bag.

A Toothbrush

Curious as to what is the most forgotten item in a traveler’s bags? Ah, yes: a toothbrush! The most essential of hygiene items is usually the first one to not make the list of packing essentials, unintentionally. If you’re looking for the best way not to forget this staple, then you can always purchase one a backup brush at the airport.

If you’re not sure where you can find one at the airport, ask around! Typically, most airports have an essentials store  — you know, for those that forgot to bring their essentials with them (hello, toothbrush). Think that you’ll forget that toothbrush? You can certainly call the front desk at your hotel, asking for them to place one in your room, before your arrival!
