Plan to Arrive Early
When you opt for a winter wedding, you’ll already be going into the planning stage knowing that there’s a chance that snow could fall at any second. Of course, you can’t control the weather — but you can plan accordingly.
Even if there’s a chance of a light snow shower for later on in the day, it’s best to arrive at your ceremony/reception space as early as possible. This will not only help you beat the rush of a potential storm, but you’ll feel much more at ease knowing that you won’t be late on your big day.
Bring Options
Granted, you might want to rock a beautiful pair of heels on the big day — but if there’s ice on the ground, then wearing this specific type of footwear won’t be the best choice. The solution? Plan on bringing two pairs of shoes on your big day.
If you’re not sure what to bring, then it’s best to opt for footwear that has a flat, rubber sole, which will keep you slip-free when entering/leaving a venue. Of course, once you’re inside, then you can put on your special heels and dance the night away!
Provide Blankets
Think that some of your wedding guests will be a tad cold during the ceremony? If that’s the case, then it’s best to provide some wedding blankets on the big day, since some venues lack heat — or are just drafty in general. Indeed, you don’t have to invest in designer duds — but you can purchase blankets, in bulk, from an online retailer for a reasonable price!
