Go at a Random Time
Sometimes, the early bird doesn’t always catch the worm. Typically, the Long Island Aquarium opens at 10am and closes at 5pm, seven days a week. If you’re attempting to beat the crowds, then it may be wise to go anytime after 12pm. Any hour after lunch is perfect because not only will you be able to take your time walking through the aquarium, but the chances of being able to look at an exhibit without standing behind a crowd will be even greater.
Open Rain or Shine
Say it happens to rain (or snow, because we’re in New York) on the day of your intended visit. You’ll be able to still bask in the excitement of this incredible attraction no matter what (unless they specifically state that they’re closed). However, if you go during the warmer months, you’ll be able to take your time outside by the penguin exhibit, since you won’t have to worry about bundling up!
