It Could Be a ~Distraction~
There's a chance that wearing white will spark a party-wide conversation about your white frock. Many believe that it’s “wedding taboo” to wear white if you’re not part of the couple getting hitched, but there are some that are willing to take the chance or jazz up the outfit with another pop of color — which leads to our next point.
Accessories Won’t Mask the Color
Weather it’s a bright pink clutch or a stunning pair of red bottom heels, there’s no getting around the fact that you’re wearing white at the wedding. Unless the outfit has a another hint of color in it already (not off-white, of course), rocking a white frock will stand out no matter how many layers you add to it.
There’s No Official Rule, But…
While there isn’t an official rule book on what can and cannot be worn to a wedding, fashion columnists highly frown upon the trend, stating that wearing white could come off as poor wedding etiquette. If you’re going to choose something to wear as an attendee on the big day, opt for something that’s as far away from white as possible!
