1. Booming restaurant scene.
Bring your appetite, downtown Greenville is known for its many restaurants of nearly every type of food — from traditional to eclectic. Don’t know what to start? Art museums, street art, local galleries — Greenville is a thriving arts scene. Go on a Mouse Hunt to spot all the Mice on Main then head to the Greenville County Museum of Art for one of the world’s largest collections of works by Andrew Wyeth and Jasper John.

The name is Greenville after all, so naturally you can expect to find beautiful trees and a picturesque landscape even in downtown. The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a biker’s dream — a 21-mile, paved path running alongside the Reedy River south of the city, through downtown and up to Travelers Rest (another perfectly named town). Rent a bike from Reedy Rides or Bike the Rabbit and take a cruise one sunny afternoon.

- Artisphere: An annual three-day event in May that gives arts patrons the opportunity to meet exhibiting artists and purchase original works of art.
- Euphoria: A highly anticipated weekend-long event, Euphoria comes to Downtown Greenville this September for exclusive tasting events, cooking demonstrations and wine seminars, as well as multi-course dinners and live musical performances.
