Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service

 P: (631) 587-8500

This Sunday, the Broncos and Seahawks go head to head in Super Bowl XLVIII - are you ready? Every year people host get togethers in their homes, visit their local bars, or even fly in to see the actual game, so what makes this year so different? Well to start, this is the first NFL title game to be played outdoors in a northern city (that’s right, no dome). Not to mention, the first time in the New York Metropolitan Area!

In honor of this, organizers have surrounded the February 2nd game at NJ’s MetLife Stadium with a sizzling calendar of events all over the metro area. So grab some friends or family and make this year’s Super Bowl the best yet:

Today - February 1st, football fans will take over Times Square. ‘Super Bowl Boulevard’ will shut down Broadway from 34th to 47th streets making it the epicenter of all things pigskin for the big game. There will be interactive games, memory making moments at the autograph stage, and photo opps next to the Vince Lombardi trophy display. All attractions are free except for the 60 foot high, 180 foot long toboggan run which will run you $5 for a ride. Come by anytime between 12 - 10pm!

Grab a bite on February 1st at the Taste of the NFL - world-class chefs from the 32 NFL cities are pairing with current and former football players to prepare festive dishes across 40+ food stations! Proceeds will go to various tri-state charities working to end hunger. The event begins at 7pm at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal (Pier 12) for $700

If you can imagine the sleekest possible man cave open to fans - you have a pretty good grasp of what to expect at The 50 Yard Lounge at One Penn Plaza. Top chefs will be working the menu with sports legends working the crowds, tickets come with all-day access. Feel free to feast in the afternoon, explore the city, and return for more hors d’oeuvres later on. Single day passes run between $400 - $650 and multi day passes are $1,440 - $2,200. The lounge is open now - February 2nd from 10am - 2am and Sunday from 9am - 2:30pm, 3:30pm - midnight.

For those looking to really watch the Super Bowl in style, book a stay at the Trump SoHo New York. Surrounded by your nearest and dearest, you and fellow fans can enjoy game day catering provided by the hotel’s Executive Chef Desmond Lim. The penthouse suite will be booked in your chosen team’s colors and everyone will receive an autographed piece of memorabilia from one of the team’s players. With two 46-inch Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 10 TVs and the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay A9 sound system, your group will view every play in staggering detail. The suite costs $4,000 which includes overnight accommodations for six. Email TrumpSoho@TrumpHotels.com for reservations.

Now that you have your itinerary planned for the next few days, let Dynasty Limo take you there! Finding a dress, choosing a bridal party, picking flowers, invitations, a venue, and the countless other wedding day details is enough to drive anyone crazy! Wedding Magazine has gathered some great tips to help make your wedding planning process run smoothly and stress-free!

1. Your wedding day draws nearer with each passing day, but don’t panic! Despite the anxiousness you might feel, try to remain calm. Take a deep breath, then get started!

2. When coordinating a wedding, you may be forced to deal with people who have different opinions; bridesmaids, in-laws, parents and maybe even your fiancĂ©. Everyone seems to think they know best! What matters most is how you feel! It’s your day! Address issues right away and be honest. Let your family and friends know you appreciate their input, but you’ve decided to go in another direction.

3. There are so many decisions to make when planning a wedding. Don’t waste time trying to make every detail perfect. Chances are no one will even notice! When it comes to floral arrangements and cake designs, make confident decisions and don’t think twice! Eventually, you will find making decisions to be easy!

4. Don’t forget to book the honeymoon! After working hard to create a fantastic wedding for you and your fiancĂ©, you deserve the getaway of a lifetime. Plan the honeymoon together and get excited about your trip!

5. Finally, take the time to enjoy something new. Set aside some time during your week to hike, exercise, join a pottery class, or anything else. Do what you love and enjoy it worry free.

HOW TO GET YOUR MAN INVOLVED IN PLANNING YOUR WEDDING

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service
 P: (631) 587-8500

Planning a wedding by yourself isn't easy and your man might not have as much interest in planning as you do. But there are some things your fiancĂ© is interested in and you should definitely get him involved. Brides Magazine has come across a few things about the wedding that men are actually into.

Planning the journey of the honeymoon is an exciting time and guys dream about surprising their bride with the perfect destination. Plan together and see what he is interested in. You’ll be surprised at how much he will enjoy looking up vacations and planning activities.

Another thing men are concerned about is the cake. On your wedding day, your husband-to-be is going to have a piece of the cake so why not have it made to his liking. Take him to the bakery for wedding cake sampling and you two will have a great time tasting an assortment of cakes.

Music is a big feature of the wedding. Discuss what you would prefer; a band or a DJ. Your fiancĂ© will have some type of music preference. Have him create a playlist of what he wants to listen to, this way the both of you can enjoy the music you love on your big day.

Plan your wedding cars together! Have him choose what type of limousines or getaway car he would like at the wedding. He can choose from different types of styles and colors. Give your fiancé a head start on reserving wedding cars and send him the link to Dynasty Limousine!

Then there’s the first kiss. Your fiancĂ© is probably planning the best first kiss he can give you when you two finally tie the knot. Help relieve the tension he is feeling by talking about how he sees your first kiss and then practice it!

WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU'RE ENGAGED

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service
 P: (631) 587-8500

The holidays are a big time of year for engagements! If you are newly engaged, planning on being engaged soon, or about to pop the question to your significant other, Glamour has great advice on what to do after you get the ring.

1. Tell everyone! Call your relatives and share the news with friends and family. No one wants to be         the last to know, so set aside some time and with the help of your mom, sister, aunt and anyone else       spread the word!

2. Get your ring sized right away so you can show off how perfect it is. It usually takes up to a few           hours, sometimes even a few days but you want it to look just right and it is worth the effort.

3. Have your ring insured. If you lose your ring you might not get the sentimental value back, you             could gain a little comfort by having some protection on it. Call the insurance broker to add your ring     to your renter’s insurance. If you don’t have renter’s insurance, it is inexpensive to buy.

4. Everyone is going to ask you what the wedding date is, so you and your fiancĂ© should set a ballpark     date. This will help people plan around you and feel as if they are in the loop. It can also give you         and your fiancĂ© a step in the right direction to plan the wedding.

5. Save some time for just you and your fiancĂ©. Make it a point to leave any wedding plans out of it so       you can enjoy each other's company and relax. Planning a wedding could be a bit hectic so indulge       in a couple’s massage or set aside time to just hang out.

6. Be organized. Use an app, calendar or binder to manage all your wedding plans. Create a timeline of     tasks and events that need to be done by a certain time. It is also a good idea to create a savings               account specifically for your wedding. The two of you can put a set amount of money to save up for     the wedding so you won’t end up in massive debt after the festivities.
