Transportation Mistakes Not to Make

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service
P: (631) 587-8500

With all the planning and preparation that comes with Weddings, we know some hiccups are bound to arise. How you and your guests get around is a major detail of your big day, and we want to be sure you are well prepared. Avoid making these common transportation mistakes:

Not hiring professionals!
Don’t give yourself the option of stressing over coordinating multiple rides with different cars. Hire the pros and have your entire entourage with you every step of the way. At Dynasty Limousine, our massive fleet of limousines, party buses, and shuttles will make it easy for everyone from the Bride and Groom, to the wedding party and guests, to travel in style and comfort. Our reputation is very important to us and we work hard to make sure that your experience with us is memorable and worry-free.

Only considering the stretch limo
From Cadillac Escalades to our regal Phantom V Rolls Royce - our fleet has something for everyone. There’s no rule requiring standard stretch limos only, choose a ride that suits your party’s style!

Forgetting about guests
While you’re not expected to provide rides for guests, offering out of towners a shuttle to the ceremony and back to the hotel can make guests more comfortable in an unfamiliar town. Not to mention, saving you and the bridal party from having to answer calls to offer directions. Should you not offer transportation, make sure to include a phone number of a local car service company on displays or the invitations themselves so guests can take advantage of their services.

Disregarding traffic
The timing of transportation is crucial to your wedding day. On one end you could have enough time so that the wedding flows nicely from event to event, or on the other end - you are rushing and holding up schedules. Look up estimated travel times before hand, and add at least another 20 minutes on for traffic or other delays.

For even more transportation mistakes, please visit The Knot »
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life.  It should be filled with happiness, family, and friends!  Dynasty Limousine has been the ideal choice for brides and groom in and around the Long Island area because we combine an impressive fleet of immaculately kept luxury vehicles with professional and experienced drivers.

If you have any questions about renting the right transportation for your wedding party’s needs - give us a call at 631-587-8500.

Why Not - Go Wine Tasting?

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service

P: (631) 587-8500

You’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t enjoy wine tasting. It’s a great way for beginners to get acquainted with the “Nectar of the Gods.” And for wine-lovers, there’s no better way explore new styles and varieties.

Below are some reasons to consider a trip to the vineyards the next opportunity you get:
  1. The Chance to Taste Before You Buy - As we all know, wines can vary in prices - and why risk buying a wine you’ve never tried and may not like? A trip to the vineyards helps ensure you will enjoy the wine you walk out with.
  2. Learn More About Wine - It’s tough to know absolutely everything about wine. Not only are the blends and varietals incredibly numerous - each contains countless facets that differ due to region, the winemaker, and the year of the vintage. As you train your palette, you’ll come to recognize a quality wine. Be sure to ask questions to the wine makers or staff and be open to testing your taste buds to see if they pick up on any of those citrusy, earthy, or berry notes that they mention!
  3. Spend Time With Friends and Family - Wine tastings are certainly more fun with a group. Whether its a large group of old friends or something more intimate, it’s a great time to relax and enjoy each others company, conversation, and new experiences!
  4. Support Local Winemakers - Today there are over 60 licensed producers on Long Island with more than 40 open to the public for tastings. Support both your local economy and your taste buds by purchasing wines from your local vintners.
Share a unique getaway with your group and let us show you the best wineries Long Island has to offer. Call us today and we’ll set up a fully customizable wine tour for your next outing. #TravelThursday - Business Travel Tips

While we know preparing for meetings and seeing clients is foremost in the minds of most business travelers, safety on these trips should be priority as well. Before jetting off to your next company conference, keep the below safety tips in mind to ensure you and your traveling companions arrive safely (and with your possessions intact):

Keep Essentials on You at All Times - Never leave your ID, credit cards, money, or any important prescription medications in a bag you can’t readily access. These items should be kept on your person, or in a small purse/bag at all times. In airport theft situations, having the necessities on you prevents you from dealing with loss of money and ensures your health is taken care of.

Pack Wisely and Stay Alert
- Travel with as few bags as possible and never leave them unattended. If you travel with a purse, keep it close to your body, or consider using a money pouch under your clothes instead of carrying a purse/noticeable wallet. All valuables should be in a bag kept nearest to you. Consider attaching an electronic proximity alarm to your bag of valuables, this way if a thief attempts to run off with any bags, a loud alarm will sound.

Secure Reliable Transportation
- Booking car service with a company you can trust is a huge part of getting to and from your destination safely. Dynasty Limousine has a full line of Clean, Modern Lincoln Town cars and 8-10 passenger stretch limousines available for both Airport and Corporate Transport. We are available for pickups and drop offs at all of the major New York Airports. Have employees flying into NY from out of town? We operate 24/7 and are available for transportation to corporate events as well.

Do Your Research on Hotels - Reserve a room at a hotel in a safe area, near where you need to go for business. A larger/major hotel is more likely to have safety and security features like smoke alarms, fire sprinkler systems, security boxes, 24-hr attendant, etc. Also, request a room above ground level, as higher floors are less accessible from the outside to strangers. Rooms below the seventh floor generally provide easier access to the ground floor in the event of an emergency and are more accessible for fire equipment.

Crimes can happen at random, but there are a lot of things that can be done to prevent your chances of becoming a victim. Being aware and alert to what you can do will go a long way in making your next business trip both safe and successful!

#ThirstyThursday - Independence Day Cocktails!

Long Island's Premiere Limousine Service
P: (631) 587-8500

Independence Day is perhaps the most important of all American holidays. That’s why we want everyone to enjoy themselves to the fullest this upcoming holiday weekend. We've put our Travel Thursdays on hold to bring you this week's edition of Thirsty Thursday - featuring some fun 4th of July cocktails you’re sure to love!
1. Guy Fieri’s Fourth of July Cocktail- This refreshing drink posted at FoodNetwork.com not only tastes magnificent, but also looks truly patriotic! To make it, you’ll need:
  • 1 ounce watermelon schnapps
  • 1 big splash cranberry juice
  • 1 very thin slice jalapeno or serrano pepper
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1 slice lime
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 1/4 ounce blue curacao
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • Watermelon wedge, for garnish (optional)
Combine the schnapps and cranberry juice in a shaker, and then pour it into an ice-filled glass. Mix together the jalapeno pepper, sliced lemon and lime, tequila, blue curacao and simple syrup in the shaker. With a strainer, slowly pour the blue liquid over the red layer. Don’t forget to garnish with watermelon!
2. Red, White, and Blue Sangria - Although not technically a cocktail, it’s impossible to resist this star-spangled sangria from PunchBowl.com. Pick up these ingredients:
  • Strawberries, sliced
  • Blueberries
  • Pineapple, cut into star shapes
  • 2 bottles dry white wine
  • 1 cup Triple Sec
  • 1/2 Cup berry-flavored vodka
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
Simply combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher and stir. (What could be easier?) Be sure to chill in the ‘fridge for at least four hours.
3. Red, White and HPNOTIQ Blue Martini - This funky twist on a classic martini is sure to make you proud to be an American. The recipe, pulled from BarNoneDrinks.com, calls for:
  • 2 oz. Hpnotiq
  • 1 oz. Citrus Vodka
  • 1 splash Lemon Lime Soda
  • Grenadine
Shake Hpnotiq, vodka and soda together with ice, and then strain into a martini glass. Slowly add a touch of grenadine for a bold red base. Garnish with chopped coconut – yum!
4. Roosevelt Cocktail - Looking for something a bit more classic this 4th of July? According to Liquor.com, our 26th president, Teddy Roosevelt, enjoyed Mint Julep from time to time. Meanwhile, his cousin, Franklin, was fond of martinis. Pay homage to the Roosevelts by enjoying this presidential drink, which combines both styles:
  • 1.75 oz Dark rum (Zacapa Rum 23)
  • .5 oz Dry vermouth
  • .25 oz Fresh orange juice
  • .25 tsp Sugar
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and fill with ice. Shake it up. Finally, strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist for the complete presidential look.
What other Independence Day-themed cocktails do you enjoy? Tweet us your ideas @DynastyLimoNY.
As always, drink responsibly and be sure to take advantage of Dynasty Limo to ensure you reach your final destination safely! Contact us today for more information and to view our availability. Dial (631) 587-8500 to book a reservation.
