Spoiler alert, you can.
Many hotels open their doors to day-trippers, offering a taste of East End life that is typically reserved for their overnight guests. Interested? We don’t blame you! See below for a few places to check out this season:
Get a day pass at the Southampton Inn!
Want to enjoy the luxury of the Southampton Inn without booking a long retreat? You can. Daily day passes are available to this Southampton hotspot for $100, giving you access to the tennis courts, swimming pool, and game room. Plus it includes a $20 voucher to the Inn’s on-site Cafe Oso. Rather hit the beach? Take advantage of the hotel’s shuttle bus to Cooper’s Beach (where parking is typically $40 a day for nonresidents) and head back to use the property’s fully equipped showers. They only offer 10 passes a day so make sure you book this trip ASAP! More info: 631-283-6500
Get active at the Montauk Surf Lodge!
On August 22nd, head out for a “Surfside Salutation” at the Montauk Surf Lodge for your most epic, healthy summer day. Celebrity trainer Anna Kaiser (whose clients include Shakira and Kelly Ripa) will lead a calorie-burning, happiness-boosting dance cardio class. After your morning exercise enjoy some beauty related workshops, visit the RPZL brain and ponytail bar, and lounge at The Surf Lodge all for $40. To make it a truly epic day, sign up for a specialty brunch and a 45-minute stand up paddle-boarding guided lesson!
BBQ at Gurney’s!
Upscale East End resort, Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Seawater Spa, has opened up their beach club on Saturdays to day-trippers with an afternoon BBQ! With an assortment of food starting at 11am, from slow cooked ribs to hot dogs, and live DJ until 6pm- why not spend the day at a barbeque on the beach? Non-hotel guests can reserve the resort’s traditional yellow and white beach cabanas for the day as well (just note, there’s a $500 food and drink minimum during the weekdays and $1,500 on weekends for groups of up to eight people). Cost: $14-$29 (extra $19 for lobster). Reserve your spot and request more info here: 631-668-2345 ext. 3200 or BeachClub@gurneysmontauk.com
