Grotta di Fuoco: Italian food is a staple on Long Island, but this rustic take on the traditional Italian restaurant will give all others a run for their money. Grotta di Fuoco, literally translated to “fire cave,” specializes in brick oven pizza from their wood burning oven, which is the focal point of the joint. Classic pasta dishes are served with a twist, as the ravioli and cannelloni are all homemade. The lines run long for these mouth-watering burgers and fries that have developed a cult-like following. Place your order at a glass enclosed counter, and grab a seat at an outdoor table, or even in your car (trust us, it’s worth it)! Resemblant of a 50’s diner, the nostalgia runs as thick as the milkshakes, which are the perfect way to wash down that cheeseburger!
